Sydney Donovan is an Administrative Assistant with Praxis Financial Group at Alliance Financial Network, where she supports Financial Advisors Robert Powalski and Sebastian Diaz and helps ensure clients receive a smooth, supportive experience. In her role, Sydney focuses on new business, client onboarding, servicing, and day-to-day administrative needs, helping keep processes moving efficiently while making sure clients feel heard and understood.
Known for her customer-service mindset and proactive approach, Sydney enjoys solving problems and finding the right resources to meet each client's unique needs. She takes pride in working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly for both advisors and clients and strives to leave people feeling supported, relieved, and confident throughout their experience.
Before entering financial services, Sydney worked in veterinary medicine, where she developed strong skills in organization, customer service, and anticipating the needs of others. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communication from SUNY Brockport and continues to bring that relationship-focused background to her work at Alliance Financial Network. Sydney also fosters animals through the Erie County SPCA.
Originally from Kenmore, Sydney now lives in the City of Buffalo. Outside of work, she enjoys trying new baking recipes, running around the city, and playing on a co-ed kickball team. Her love for animals has also taken her abroad. In 2024, Sydney spent a month volunteering at an animal sanctuary near Athens, Greece, helping care for 52 cats and six dogs.
