James Fashano is the CEO of Alliance Financial Network, where he sets the vision and direction of the firm while helping advisors and leaders grow into the best versions of themselves. Jim works closely with leadership teams, senior and emerging advisors, and business owners, helping them gain clarity, develop talent, and navigate important decisions. He is committed to creating an environment where people have the opportunity to grow, perform, and make a meaningful impact on those they serve.
Known for being approachable, energetic, and genuinely curious about people, Jim believes in understanding someone before offering guidance. His philosophy is to lead with love rather than fear, remain open and curious, and look for opportunities to grow through both success and adversity. He especially enjoys developing people—whether helping an advisor build confidence, a leader step into a larger role, or a business owner identify the next step forward.
Jim brings more than 30 years of financial services experience to his role. He had the opportunity to work alongside his father, who founded the firm in 1979, before assuming leadership of Alliance Financial Network. That experience provided a foundation in advisor development, recruiting, leadership, succession, and building an organization designed to serve future generations. Jim is also a member of Guardian’s Field Advisory Board.
Born in Jamestown and raised in the Buffalo area, Jim now lives in Orchard Park with his wife, Rachel. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, fitness, fly fishing, and spending time with family and friends. A lifelong learner, Jim is rarely without a book, podcast, conversation, or new experience that he can turn into something meaningful to share with others.
